    Up for bids is a 1863 New Orleans Antique Civil War Property Tax Document With Stamps. During the Civil War Union Occupation of New Orleans, taxes were levied on New Orleans citizens in an attempt to seize their property.
    This is an original New Orleans Civil War document with tax stamps. Dated June 27th, 1864.
    Condition: two small paper tears at the center top fold of the document, plus another small paper tear and the upper end fold. There is also some staining at the top and some toning overall. document measures 3 1/2" by 8 1/2" closed. measures 8 1/2" by 10" open.
