Antique 1885 Maryland Marriage Certificate Photos Of Couple Original Frame

This is an antique 1885 marriage certificate with the original photos of the bride and groom. It was signed in Maryland, United States.
The overall frame measures 17 inches x 21 inches (43.2 cm x 53.3 cm). The marriage certificate measures 14 inches x 18 inches (35.5 cm x 45.7 cm).
Looking at the back of this, I am fairly certain this is original to the frame. They are both from the same time period. However, I believe someone took it out at one point in order to reinforce it, based on the nails.
The marriage certificate is in fairly good condition. There is foxing on much of it due to the wood backing, but it tends to just blend in. There are some dark stains along the top, which may also be foxing. There are two tears, one in the upper left corner and one on top at the center.
The frame is in very good condition, with just some light age related wear. It is made of walnut with a gold liner. The outer part of the liner is lemon gold gilt. I’m not sure though if the center part is some type of gold gilding or just a very good looking shiny gold paint.
It weighs 5 lbs. 1 oz. (2.29 kg).
