Big Block Chevy 3916323 Engine Block 1968 Chevelle 325HP 4 Speed ED Suffix NICE!

Description

This is a real deal 1968 Big Block Chevrolet engine block. The casting number is 3916323. The casting date is A 18 8 which decodes as January 18th, 1968. The 3916323 block was used exclusively for early 1968 396 engines in the 1968 model year. This is a very hard to find early 1968 block.
The pad on this block is stamped T0216ED 18Z138168 as shown. The T0216ED shows that this engine was assembled at the Tonowanda engine plant on February 16th, 1968 as a 396/325HP engine for a 1968 Chevelle/El Camino with a 4 speed manual transmission. The 18Z138168 is the partial VIN of the car this block was originally installed in.
This block is in good condition as shown. There are no breaks or repairs to this block. The bore size is .030 over and the bores are quite clean with a vertical groove in one cylinder as shown. There are no sleeves in any cylinders. All threads are in good condition with a few helicoils in head bolt threads as shown. The block has been checked for cracks and has no cracks. This is a great block to build for performance or restoration.

Most of my customers end up using YRC freight which used to be Roadway Express and Yellow Freight. Other customers have had luck with freightquote.com. The weight of the shortblock when palletized will be about 275 pounds.
