    Description

    The
    Prussian
    Order of the Red Eagle
    (Rot
    er Adlerorden
    ) was awarded to both soldiers & civilians, to recognize valor, excellence and  long and faithful service.
    This is the
    1st Class grade of the order, a silver (plated) , eight-pointed breast star worn on the left chest. It was awarded to general officers, high nobility, and heads of foreign states.
    This is the peacetime version of the medal.
    This is a beautiful replica of the badge.  It weighs 2.7 oz. (77 grams) and measures 9 cm across.
    This star has no pin and catch mechanism, hence the lower price
