    Description

    Presented today is this wonderful Plains Indian Canvas Cradle. It comes from an estate of a dear, departed friend who was a respected lecturer, teacher and museum curator. She was part Cheyenne, and lectured and demonstrated extensively on Plains Indian cultures. Also, in the 1960's, she
    traveled the northern plains on the Pow Wow circuit, participating in dances, either singly or with a dance troupe. i believe this cradle is MUCH older than that, and was a core part of her Plains collection.  It measures 9 inches across and 30 inches in length. The sinew designs are in somewhat poor condition.
