Rare Antique Asian Handcrafted Textile Wall Hanging

Description

This is a rare piece of handmade Asian wall art that measures approximately 46” in length (including wooden hanger) and 4” in width.
It features a tan satin ribbon decorated with nine figures each displaying an array of textile materials which include silk, satin and hair fibers and what appears to be lacquered paper.
The faces and a few other markings are hand-painted on all of the figures.
The unique wood and corded hanger enables the ribbon or banner to be hung.
This hanger is currently detached from the ribbon but should easily be attached either by being sewn or glued.
Despite the usual signs of age, fold marks from years of storage, fading of the fabrics and some discolorations and blemishes, this antique wall hanging is in good condition.
This is one-of-a-kind Asian art piece that has been well-preserved and is a rare treasure from the past!
