Vintage / Antique OBI Silk Brocade Phoenix and Chrysanthemum Repurpose Fragment
Lovely old textile for repurpose. It appears to be silk. It is a continuous brocade (with the floating weft threads on reverse for the colored parts).
Appears to be cut at one end. Fabric has water spots and age spotting. Side seams were hand-tacked down but are now loose. A few of the back brocade threads are loose.
About 126" long x 12" wide. Please check photos for condition and pattern. There appears to be a hand-embroidered signature under one of the phoenixes.
